Honda Civic Type R Earns Recognition from BBC Top Gear

An experienced entrepreneur in the auto sales industry, Patrick Dibre serves as the CEO of PSD Automotive Group. Having invested in eight dealerships since 1989, Patrick Dibre is experienced in the management of auto sales locations offering a wide range of car brands, including Honda.

Headquartered in Japan, Honda is a globally recognized car company known for its competitive prices, fuel efficiency, and reliability. One of the best Honda vehicles to embody all three of these qualities is the Civic, which stands out as one of its three most popular vehicles, alongside the Accord and the CR-V.

In late 2017, the Honda Civic’s highest-performance model, the Type R, received recognition from the internationally renowned auto magazine BBC Top Gear as its “Car of the Year.” Leadership from the magazine called it “addictive” and “a true hero for the masses,” based on not only its top speed of 169 mph and its 2.0-liter VTEC Turbo engine, but also its economic accessibility and everyday usability. The Type R is a dynamic vehicle meant to be practical enough for daily life, but exciting enough to please thrill seekers.

The 2019 version of the Type R will be available in the new color Sonic Gray Pearl. Its updated interior features include better connectivity with Bluetooth devices, a new audio display, and a volume knob to replace the model’s original buttons.
